
Wensi Zhang has extensive experience in fundamental equities research with particular proficiency in research-related technological solutions. His fluency in both English and Chinese enables him to cover information sources from major Western and Asian research houses. Wensi is principally responsible for identifying sector trends in Australia and Asia Pacific. Wensi sits as head of APAM’s Asset Allocation Committee. He also oversees APAM’s investment portfolios on a day-to-day basis in an analytical and operational capacity.
Prior to working with APAM, Wensi was a research analyst and editor for a research publishing company specialising in industry and corporate reports on Australian and Chinese businesses. Much of this material was subsequently published through media outlets including Bloomberg, Factiva, Sina and chinabizintel.com in English and Mandarin.
Prior to his work as a research analyst, Wensi has been an analyst in a corporate advisory firm involved in capital raising activities for ASX-listed small cap companies. Wensi started his career in finance with an Australian based Exchange Traded Fund (ETF) manager.
Wensi holds Bachelor of Commerce from University of Melbourne and Diploma of Financial Services from FINSIA.
